Description

Very close to Progreso, in Dzibilchaltun (Mayan city meaning written on the stone) there is an ancestral building with a door where at each beginning of spring, the sun looms in a spectacle that marvels at those who have the privilege of contemplating it when visiting one of the largest settlements in Mesoamerica, it is said to have more than 40,000 inhabitants.

This building stands out for its size and because inside seven clay figures were found in human form, that is why it is known as "The Temple of the Seven Dolls".

This is not the most wonderful thing about Dzibilchaltun, in the same city there is a Franciscan chapel, Catholicism and Mayan mysticism in one place.

You can also connect with nature in the eco-archaeological park, tour the sac-beh (white roads) to take a refreshing dip in the Xlacah cenote and learn more about the history of Dzibilchaltun in the Mayan People's Museum.

You will be standing in a grand and powerful city.

Look around and connect with the Mayan stelae, stones carved with symbols that tell the story of legendary men and women.
